Role Positioning and Objectives
The role of a Trade Marketing Representative has a direct impact on the business’ sales and availability in the market as this role requires the TMR to work closely together with various stakeholders that directly or indirectly impact the volume of our portfolio. Therein, it is important for a TMR to collect information that can help him/her understand their clients and customer’s needs, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.
What You Will Be Accountable For
- Drive territory priorities and KPIs in line with the company’s objectives.
- Propose and implement the operational plan for respective territory that is aligned to Activation, Trade Marketing and.
- Distribution strategy, which meets the brands volume and market/value share objectives.
- Develop strong working relationships with trade partners, ensuring they are well trained.
- Collect, track and interpret data on weekly/quarterly target achievements and present action plans to meet set targets and goals, to senior EM leadership team.
- Act as a brand ambassador to increase brand visibility and ensure nationwide compliance to marketing principles and regulations.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns with the use of promotional materials.
- Negotiate with retailers and other third-party partners on promotional display and merchandise placement.
- Promote business expansion opportunities to retailers and other merchants through successful field marketing programs.
- Report weekly and monthly status on field marketing activities and propose recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness for future activities.
- Conduct market research to analyse market and consumer trends, as well as competitor activities for effective market response within a timely manner.
- Drive innovation in territory of responsibility and act as a change agent/ champion in territory of responsibility.
Essential Experience, Skills, And Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in, Marketing, Commerce or relevant field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years professional experience in Marketing.
- Valid driving license with a minimum of 2 years’ experience is mandatory.
- Microsoft Excel experience is mandatory.
- Ability to communicate and write both in English and Portuguese.
- Proficiency in local language is a plus.
- Excellent communication, selling, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
- Self-starter who is flexible and has strong drive for learning and results.
